When I graduated dental school I was very conscious of the gap between what I could do and what I need to learn. The insecurity was overwhelming. Every night I would read about products and techniques. Every course I took focused on technical dentistry. There is no doubt that becoming excellent at technical dentistry is the worthiest of goals. What I realized after a few years in practice was that my success would depend on skills I didn't have.
